Vanakkam!

It gives me immense pleasure to bring out the first edition of CovaiCare happenings. While my second innings after my stint with the Army commenced in 1995, the journey of Covai began in 2001 and now, it has become CovaiCare. This journey has been one of great joy and satisfaction. This could be possible only because of work by CovaiCare Team, the support of our clients, the advice and blessings of the elders whom we are fortunate to serve and care. This journey has seen ups and downs. Each of the milestones we achieved is a testimony to the commitment and hard work of Team CovaiCare.

With our decision to concentrate only on senior living & care, we have a lot more to achieve especially in the context of longevity and technological advancement. It is our belief that those who think of the future will be able to provide solutions for the present. In this endeavour, we seek your support so that we can succeed in our mission.

We also solicit contributions from our readers which could be articles, photographs or anything that you would like to share so that we can make CovaiCare Happenings really vibrant.

Happy New Year!

Yours in Care,

WE ARE WHAT WE ARE AT COVAICARE

Vanakkam! Greetings from CovaiCare!

Eldercare is more than brick and mortar. Brand CovaiCare defines happiness, wellness and the spirit of togetherness bundled with a perfect blend of care and compassion.

As pioneers with over 15 years of expertise in the field of endeavour, we have evolved the concept of active life for seniors that others try to emulate. Team CovaiCare shares a common vision of providing the community we serve with what they need. At CovaiCare, your expectations become entitlements. We continuously strive to exceed your expectations. As the author of active life concept of senior living, we use our insights as inputs to better the quality of life of the community we serve. The retirement community that we built way back in 2004, has been certified in 2018 as a plati-num rated community by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). This is a testimony to our foresight and commitment to environment. A big differentiator with Covai is its Inclusivity. We understand needs. And address them. This is reflected in our newer projects that include assisted living, palliative care, preventive care, Op-tions for persons with disabilities (PsWD) and memory care. Covai's PolyCare is our innovation to bring back the concept of Family Doctors As a consultant, we share our knowledge with specific developers. And work in implementing projects for them. Covai is involved in over 17 projects across India. This gives us an edge of understanding and aligning cultural diversity into the planning process. From Integrated town-ship to stand alone retirement communities Covai today, stands tall as a leader in the industry. We bring two decades of experience in retirement living. And, we are still learning. Always thin-king about the future needs of the elders whom we serve.

Dear All,

Vanakkam!

CovaiCare marched ahead in the month of March with lots of activities and events. After many months of preparation, we could implement the "Fall Prevention Program" for the residents of Covai S3 Senior Care Centre with the help of Dr Augustine Joseph and his team of Physiotherapists. The program which is conducted for a batch of 15 seniors at a time spanning about 90 minutes on alternate days, aims to prevent fidling by the elderly. Based on the success, we will extend this program to all our retirement communities. We celebrated Women's Day with great fanfare in all our communities. Even though the festival of Holi is not celebrated in Tamil Nadu, we celebrated, "Holika Dahan "on 20th March. Thanks to Mrs Kanta Chandhok and all ladies of Cowl S3 Senior Care Centre.

We also had Club Mahindra sponsoring the Women's day event in Coimbatore. Two couples from Covai S3 Senior Care Centre won 2 nights and 3 days holiday at any of the Club Mahindra destinations. In spite of the common amenities at Urbana Irene, Bengaluru not being ready, CovaiCare commenced basic services including catering. Seven families who have already moved in are enjoying the services provided by our team.

Seniority celebrated its 2nd Anniversary in Coimbatore at CovaiCare Tower and conducted variety of contests and competitions. Our PolyCare Team. continues to help citizens by conducting free camps at various locations. April and May will see Covai Tapovan Solace, Mysuru and Urbana Irene, Bengaluru becoming functional. On that happy note, I am signing off' now, with a request to you to share your articles in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu or Kannada for our next edition.
